De Vos in het Bos is a two-player trick-taking game. Each round, players play cards to win tricks and score points based on the number of tricks won. The player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner.
The Story of De Vos in het Bos
Once, a lumberjack and his daughter lived in a small village on the edge of the forest. She witnessed him talking to the animals in the forest. The lumberjack, known for his bravery, ventured deep into the forest to return with the best wood. The queen announced a reward for those who defeated monsters, attracting brave seekers. The game is inspired by the fairy tale 'The Queens' Butterflies' by Alana Joli Abbott.
In addition to normal card values, fairy tale characters like the Witch and the Fox have special powers to change the trump color, win a trick you've lost, and more. Score points by winning more tricks than your opponent, but beware of greed! Winning too many tricks may lead to the fate of fairy tale villains.
