CloseOnce the esteemed head of the Order of the Istari and a profoundly wise Wizard, Saruman the White descended into darkness and became an agent of evil during the War of the Ring. His prolonged study of Sauron's methods led him to believe that understanding the Dark Lord's nature could provide a path to victory. Using one of the lost Seeing Stones of Númenor, Saruman attempted to spy upon Sauron, but was ensnared into communing with him through the polished black orb. In this mental contest, Saruman succumbed to Sauron's will.
Drawn by promises of power and consumed by ambitions of his own mastery, Saruman abandoned his allies and embraced treachery. His arrogance led him to believe he could rival Sauron's dominion. As he carried out his new master's bidding, the corrupted Wizard plotted a second betrayal. Yet in his hubris, Saruman overreached, blinded by pride and lust for power. Through the palantír, the Eye of Sauron perceived Saruman's treachery, sealing his downfall. Once the esteemed leader of the White Council, Saruman's tragic end was destined in blood.
Skillfully sculpted by Gary Hunt, a veteran of the original Lord of the Rings crew, Saruman the White is a distinguished addition to your Weta Workshop miniatures collection.
